August preview: product reviews, WEC, Sturgis, and more!
In August, we’re going to check out the awesome Platepuller, which is made in Brooklyn by a guy named Michael. It made from billet aluminum and makes removing the license plate a snap. We’re interviewing Michael this week.
Later this month, we’ll be visiting the folks at Christini to check out their AWD dirtbikes. We wrote them up earlier this year. Basically, a series of shafts and chains move power from the countershaft to the front wheel. It needs loose, steep terrain to make the most difference, but in certain situations, it’s devastatingly effective.
On the 25th and 26th of August, the World Enduro Championship comes to Sweden. Right now, Metzeler riders lead the championship in all classes. Christophe Nambotin and Cristobal Guerrero lead E3 and E2, respectively, while Antoine Meo is leading E1.
And of course, Sturgis starts next Monday, August 6th. We’ll be selling our tires on Lazalle street by BMW/Yamaha of Sturgis. Look for the blue elephant.
Finally, for our superbike fans, the next round of the British Superbike championship is Cadwell Park on the 27th of August. It should be a great race.
