Ania Jackowska’s South American caper concludes!
Last month, Ania Jackowska triumphantly concluded her South America motorcycle adventure. Ania had been riding a BMW motorcycle with on this great trip, and dealt with a whole series of events, problems, characters and adventures that have “crossed” the road during her trip, which was longer than 2500 miles
After her impressive experience, we wondered how she felt after the adrenaline passed and she had a chance to relax and reflect on the trip. This is the moment after a ride, when you relive every mile, focusing on the most intense moments that may not yet have been fully appreciated due to emotion and adrenaline.
From her home in Poland, Ania told us that she still misses the colors of the mountains of Argentina and the miles of dirt road trails she rode on her BMW. She misses roads made of stones, gravel, mud, wind-swept and crossed by deep watercourses. Especially Route 40, known as one of the most treacherous roads in the world.
Riding her BMW F650 GS, Ania overcame huge difficulties thanks to her physical training, the BMW’s capability and equipment, and a bit of luck. Such preparations often make the difference between success and failure. A fall, a simple slip miles from civilization can cost you your life.
Everything went the right way. The adventure of Ania is even a Metzeler success because the tires on Ania’s bikes were Metzeler Tourances and traveled 10 thousand kilometers during the trip, brilliantly overcoming all dangers.
